Dear Parents,

As we come to the end of our school year we wish to thank you most sincerely for your co-operation and support during the past year.  We hope your child has benefited from the year’s work.

We say farewell and wish God’s Blessings and protection on the pupils who are about to leave us.  We hope that they achieve their goals in their future studies.

Our School will close for Summer holidays on Thursday
June 26th, at 12.30.

School will re-open on Friday 29th August 2014 at 9.20 a.m.

Wishing everyone a safe and relaxing summer.

Dates to Note for June:
Thursday 26th June – Change over of classes and school holidays at 12.30pm.

Copper Mile Collection:
A big thank you to everyone who brought in coins for our copper mile collection.  We raised a total of €803.

Prize Winner:
Congratulations to Kelvyn Murray in 5th class who won 1st prize in the Yeats Day poetry competition.  Kelvyn’s prize was a trip for his whole class to the Eagles Flying in Ballymote and a €100 voucher for the school for the Hawks Well Theatre.

Book Rental Scheme:
Anyone wishing to participate in the school book rental scheme must pay the total fee due to the school office by Wednesday 2nd of July, school office will be open normal hours.  Books will only be ordered for those who have paid by this date.  Anyone who does not wish to participate in the scheme can purchase the books themselves as per the booklist.
Also if any parents would like to donate books to the school for use in the scheme please leave them into the school office.

Playground Mural:
An attractive “anti-litter” themed mural, just completed by our pupils will enhance the school grounds.  Well done to one and all.  Log onto to view it.

ICT: The School is delighted to announce that it has purchased some ipads/charging station which will be utilised in September 2014.

Junior and Senior Gaelic Football Leagues:  The pupils enjoyed the excitement and thrills of our annual leagues during the past weeks.  The winners were:  
Junior Team – Captain, Jamie Kennedy
Senior Team -  Captain, Daniel Gray Harrigan.

School Calendar – A copy of the school calendar for 2014-2015 will be distributed to all pupils today.

Staff Announcements:
We wish Ms Egan and Ms O’Hanlon all the best as they prepare for their summer weddings.

Congratulations to Ms Orla McGowan who was selected on the GAA national division three team of the league.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Mulhern on the birth of their new baby daughter Sarah.
